Skalsatind

Skalsatind is a mountain right north of here. With its completely flat peak it looks like a volcano, but it really isn’t. This mountain gives a stunning view to no less than four glaciers, the open sea, the alpine surrounding landscape and all the way to the high plains in the east.
But it is a demanding climb, and we estimate that only 10 people summit this mountain in a span of 5 years. The last years professional skiers have tried to be the first to ski this mountain, but so far no one have succeeded.
The Skalsatind igloo is about 50m away from the service building, ideally placed to give you a perfect view of both the glacier and the fjord. This igloo has a modern theme with the colours of the glacier as the theme, white and blue. It has two comfortable armchairs with a circular table, a cool geodesic lamp and bedside tables that serves as storages for extra blankets plus two coat stands.
We want you to sleep well and fitted this igloo with high quality beds from Odel and goose down duvets. For the warmer days and nights, we have a new high tech portable air-condition that will help you cool down. You will also find a coffee machine, electric kettle and water dispenser that you may use to get a much needed hot or cold drink.
We value your privacy and have fitted each igloo with its own secure WIFI network, so that you may enjoy the world in peace and quiet without a worry.
